How It Works

One of the most asked questions that we hear is, "What will it cost to train my dog?" This question is not one that can be easily answered without first determining the program that would best suit you and your pet. Determining your expectations and goals, combined with a professional evaluation of your dog, will aid us in providing you with an accurate cost to train your pet.
With that in mind we have put together this information so that you know what to expect when you interact with our Staff and Training Professionals.

When you contact either our telephone specialists or communicate directly by email, our staff will determine a date and time that you and your pet can come in for an evaluation. We are all about making it convenient for you. During this initial communication our staff will ask you to gather the necessary shot records, and we can even provide you with the required documents needed for your evaluation in advance.

In order for your pets to be properly trained they will need the help of you and your family. This is why we suggest that the evaluation process includes everyone that will interact with your pet on a day to day basis. During the evaluation process we will examine the current state of your pet and how you and your family interact with them. We will also determine your expectations. Are you looking for a better behaved dog, a protector of your family, or a dog that knows how to attack on command? We have trainers that specialize in these areas so we know that we can meet your expectations.

Now that we have had the privilege of meeting you and your pets and determining your expectations we can now affectively suggest a training package that will meet your needs. At this point we can now apply a price for the services that you are requesting. During this step we will draw up the necessary agreements that will let you know what to expect, and will also let you know that we are confident that we can meet your expectations.

The actual training process is not traumatic, painful or stressful for you or your pet in any way. Pets respond positively to the training, making the process more positive for you and your dog.

At Man's Best Friend, we believe that follow-up training sessions are vital to achieving the goals set during your evaluation. This phase of the training is scheduled at times most convenient for you.

From here, it is your story to tell. We know that you and your pet will enjoy your times together and the stories that you can tell are waiting to be written.
