Dog Protection Training

"Thank you Eric, for helping Bailey learn how to be more obedient. I know that with continued practice she will become all that we know she can be. When she came home from her 2 week training she was much calmer and willing to learn, and we are learning a lot too!"

"With Malcolm holding the leash, Biskit responds to every command. When I take over how ever the results vary. Luckily with the training I have received I feel confident that life is going be easier for both Biskit and I and that he will respect me like he does Malcolm."

- Townsen Family

"Gajou is doing much better than before. He now is listening to what I tell him and not what he wants to. She still barks at people at home but it is not as aggressive as before. I am sure when we have finished he will be a great protection dog and most important under my control. Thanks Britta"

- Roessling Family

"Jennie was a sweet dog but too bashful around new people. Now she is much more confident. And she is behaving much better, she enjoys her trips back and she is always thrilled to be reunited with Eric."

- Satisfied Customer

"Junior had lapsed a great deal in his behavior. He would sit on command, eventually if he wanted to. His heeling was lacking primarily because of our lack of requiring him to obey properly. After 2-3 follow up lessons with Malcolm. He obeys almost instantly without separate commands. We have learned more how to react to slacking behavior and he is doing much better. The better his behavior the more we intend to demand of him. He is a much more enjoyable pet now."

- Nelson Family

"Thank you, Eric and Man’s Best Friend for training Max. Max was 8 weeks old when we got him, He was not potty trained and chewed on everything and everyone. Now he is totally house and crate trained. He gets so excited to show off all of the commands he has learned. We are pleased with his obedience and look forward to going far in his protection training. He is still a puppy and we expect great things in the future."

- Satisfied Customer

"Thanks to Malcolm at Man’s Best Friend, we have a wonderful dog now! Riley’s behavior since his training has exceeded our expectations. We would recommend Malcolm to anyone, and have already given two friends his name. Thank you for helping Riley (and us) in his training."

- Leslie, Dan, and Riley

"Thanks to Eric’s training, we now have peace of mind with our little Schnauzer. We were at the end of our rope, not sure what to do with his aggressive behavior. He has literally been saved. Great Job!"

- Satisfied Customer

"I really am appreciative of all the care and training Malcolm has given Tallulah. She has transformed and blossomed into a well behaved and good mannered pet. She is a joy to have in the house with my other pets and I look forward to her continued growth and training."

"Dear Man's Best Friend,

Please accept this donation in memory of Layla, a Pomeranian pup we adopted from Operation Kindness on 2/10/01. She passed away Monday, May 23 from issues.

Shortly after getting Layla (she was four months when we got her), we brought her to you to help us train her-and us-to be more responsive and obedient. After a week with your trainers, Layla could sit, lie down, stay, come when called, walk with a leash, and giver her paw. These tricks she performed for the rest of her life. It became particularly important this last when she had to be on a heart pill a.m. and p.m. The best way to get her to take the pull was to put her through her few tricks. The pill helped her live longer and she felt 'good' about taking her 'treat' by earning it.

Layla gave our family over 10 years of love and joy. She was a beautiful 8 pounder that got as much admiration for her beauty as for her boundless energy and 'smiling face.' Although she was small she had all the instincts of a big dog, i.e., she loved to chase squirrels, chase yard men wielding blowers, and sniff noses with other dogs. Yet she didn't like having her butt sniffed and so was not a fan of the dog park. Layla would have a sudden spurt of energy and would run in circles with her tail tight against her legs and her head down until she would just drop on all fours panting, looking at us smiling happily. This became known as Layla 'doing the beserker.'

Oddly enough, we never really knew our neighbors until we had Layla. By walking her around the blocks in front and behind our house, we met people who might not have spoken to us otherwise. Dogs have a way of opening people up, so our neighbors spoke up and we replied-usually all about Layla-and friendships were made.

In short, Layla was a great dog. Thank you for offering your services of providing training to all dogs large and small. In addition, thank you for training owners to be better by teaching them firmness, patience, and showing love to their furry friend.

Sincerely,
Kay Schachter"
